  • A fascinating parasite is drawing the attention of scientists due to its unusual interaction with amphibians. Ribeiroia ondatrae is a trematode that affects young frogs during their development, particularly as they begin forming their limbs .

When tadpoles are exposed to this parasite, they may experience atypical physical changes , such as irregular limb growth . These changes aren't accidental —they are part of the parasite’s natural life cycle , which involves helping it move between hosts. Frogs affected by it may be more likely to be spotted by aquatic birds , which are the parasite’s final hosts .

This phenomenon is becoming more common in freshwater environments that have been influenced by human activity , such as increased use of fertilizers or pesticides . These environmental shifts can boost populations of snails , which serve as the parasite’s first host.

This serves as a powerful reminder of how ecosystems respond to environmental changes . Even tiny organisms can have a big impact on biodiversity . Ongoing scientific research is helping us better understand the balance of nature and the roles that different species play in maintaining healthy ecosystems.

  • 5 Signs Your Child Is Emotionally Intelligent

It is common for parents to focus more on their child’s academic achievements, than their emotional intelligence. However, research has shown that kids with high emotional intelligence have better relationships and get better grades.
The good news is that parents who model emotional intelligence can help their kids develop these skills too. Children with high levels of emotional intelligence are able to see things from other people’s point of view. This allows kids to handle conflict peacefully, be less judgmental, and value differences.
Emotionally intelligent kids will often be very considerate, and quick to help others when they are in need. They will also be good at setting boundaries and saying ‘no’ to their peers, in a firm but kind manner.
Another sign of high emotional intelligence is when kids can use their vocabulary to identify their emotions. Such children tend to be less reactive and impulsive, and are able to regulate their feelings in productive ways.

  • 4 1We must now speak about the Ethiopian writing which is called hieroglyphic among the Egyptians, in order that we may omit nothing in our discussion of their antiquities. Now it is found that the forms of their letters take the shape of animals of very kind, and of the members of the body, and of implements and especially carpenters’ tools; for their writing does not express the intended concept by mean of syllables joined one to another, but by means of significance of the objects which have been copied and by its figurative meaning which has been impressed upon memory by practice. 2For instance, they draw the picture of a hawk, a crocodile, a snake, and of the member of the human body – an eye, a hand, a face, and the like. Now the hawk signifies to them everything which happens swiftly, since this animal is practically the swiftest of winged creatures. And the concept portrayed is then transferred, by the appropriate metaphorical transfer, to all swift things and to everything to which swiftness is appropriate, very much as if they had been named. 3And the crocodile is a symbol of all that is evil, and the eye is the warder of justice and the guardian of the entire body. And as for the members of the body, the right hand with fingers extended signifies a procuring of livelihood, and the left hand with the finger closed, a keeping and guarding of property. 4The same way of reasoning applies also to the remaining characters, which represent parts of the body and implements and all other things; for by paying close attention to the significance which inherent in each object and by training their minds through drill and exercise of memory over a long period, they read from habit everything which has been written.

  • Most women are always embarrassed to ask their man for money or for something they need, always embarrassed. They would rather soak up their challenges secretly or look for help elsewhere than going to him to ask for some help, even when she knows that he has the capacity to handle it, they don't just feel right about it, especially for women with an independently 'I should take care of myself' mentality. And the problem is not a lack of courage or pride, the challenge is that they feel responsible for themselves, and more than anything else they hate that you might feel buggy.

The closest thing they try to do is get help somewhere else, even when those alternative sources are the most unlikely to be responsive she will still prefer to take that chance than ask you for anything.

She expects you to figure out that something is not right. She just expects you to read her body language and her moods. She expects you to read the words in her silence, but when you ask her 'how are you?' The next thing that follows is 'have you eaten?', and that's all, you don't go beyond that point.

Get this guys, as a man there is just no way you can be comfortable that your partner is not asking you for anything, there is just no way you can be at peace with yourself, it should itch your soul. You are working and earning a salary but for 3 months you have not bought her anything, it's bad honestly, even if your budget is tight, even if you are saving to buy world bank, 2months is enough to stop by the store and get her a nice pair of jeans or some tops, a fancy hair ribbon won't put your savings in recession, it just the little things we do.

Most of us are just relaxed over the fact that she works and can take care of herself, yes she can, but even as the director of central bank she is also a woman, and as a woman she has needs that only a man can satisfy.

    Dont wait for her to come asking you for little things, just as grown women always feel embarrassed to ask, grown men also feel embarrassed when their woman come asking for money and some common things they need, they just use their common sense to know that he is responsible for someone according to his capacity. Grown men ask what she needs, they don't wait to be asked. If this is you uncle please start using your common sense, start by showing concern with questions like;

"Baby, I have a free budget for April, is there anything you need that you want me to make a budget for?"

"Love, i know you need money for your project, I will cover your tithe for this month so you can add that 10% to what you have saved up, alright?"

"Bae, I told your friend that makes female shoes to make one for you, I paid already, just let her the design you like."

Or sometimes just send her some cash and ask her to keep it for you, we both know she understands what you're trying to do.

These little things are the foundation blocks of a relationship and marriage. Most brothers don't even have the account details of their partner, and they have been doing relationship for over a year. Some cannot remember the last time they bought airtime credit for their partner, it's that bad. Love is not free, the price is responsibility.

  • WHAT'S YOUR SOUL'S WORTH?

Here's one thing you'll probably never read anywhere.

It might not make sense now but even if it makes sense some other day, it's okay. Bookmark this.

There's a difference between art and fame.

If you are an upcoming artist or content creator, this is mainly for you.

Art has always been there since the beginning of time. Art is self-expression. Dance, painting, poetry, sculpting, music etc are all forms of art and an artist is an expressionist basically.

Content creation is the new oil. Anyone with a cam can be content creator. You can become an instant millionaire or celebrity just from some viral video. You are one click away from travelling the world. Just like how one song can make you a millionaire.

Apart from the money comes fame, the glitz and glam. Many are unprepared for all the hype which can be very addictive and many will do anything to remain famous despite having minimal to zero talent.

It comes with a very dark shadow that many shy away from speaking about.

    Selling your soul.

This is what no one wants to say aloud.

Once you start doing things against your will, you've sold your soul.

When you start getting down with people you know have low or weak character for the bag, guess what, you've sold your soul.

Anytime you do anything for a quick buck that you never want anyone to find out, believe me, you done sold your soul.

You are out here thinking you need to be in a secret cult to sell your divinity, at least they are minting millions.

People are literally selling their souls everyday for pennies.

Get the bag any how you wanna but just know that the prize is your soul.

Your soul is your ticket for your ascension. When you loose it, you downgrade to a lower conciousness. They say you have no soul when you start acting weirdly. Next to an animal. Right?

Define your metric earlier on when you are just getting into it. Decide what your values are and if you are willing to betray yourself. You can still make money doing the right thing, like inspiring people to be better or do better.

    You always have a choice.

Even those who make money in dubious ways later choose a different path. A clean path. Look at Vybz then. And everything he preached about. Look at him now. Get the drift?

Stop acting suprised when people or brands solicit you for sex, drugs, violence or use you to push divisive masculinity of feminity agendas. It's how you presented yourself from the start. You act phony. You are fodder for the phonys. So when you get that call to be recruited or branded, receive it because you asked for it. Like you were saying, here I am for the highest bidder.

Artists, what you sing and how you carry yourself will determine the kind of brands that will approach you. The kind of influence you wield will be exploited by those who wish to spread that type of message or energy.

Trade wisely so that you are at peace with yourself when you finally get the bag. Secure it anyway, just make sure you know the stakes or what you are asking for. No judgement.

Female artists know this all too well. Women have always been solicited for sex in almost every sphere. Most have lost jobs or opportunities for simply saying no.

    That's the price of fame.

We see people who've suddenly changed their content and are now eating big. Others started way back and seem not to have made nothing much out of it. There's something they are not telling you. Don't die with envy or think lowly of those who have not "made it". There's a reason. The rules haven't changed since way back.

There's a sacrifice to be made. Others have sacrificed their souls.

You also have a soul and it has a prize.

Make and sell art or trade your soul.

    You always have a choice.
